Description

Composition: Amikacin sulfate 500 mg/2 ml

Indications:

• Infectious diseases of the lower respiratory tract (pneumonia, lung abscess, pleurisy), pulmonary tuberculosis
• Kidney and urinary tract infections (urethritis, cystitis, kidney abscess, pyelonephritis,)
• İnfections of genital organs: prostatitis, salpingoophoritis, ovarian cysts, endometritis
• İntestinal infections
• Bone and joint infections
• Purulent infections of skin and soft tissues, infections of wounds and burns
• In infections of the abdominal cavity (peritonitis), after surgical operations

Method of use:

For adults and children over 12 years of age, 7.5 mg/kg body weight (maximum daily dose is 15 mg/kg body weight) every 12 hours i/d or v/d. The maximum daily dose is 1.5 mg

When injecting into the muscle, the solution is injected directly, when injecting directly into the vein, the solution in the vial is dissolved with 10-20 ml of 0.9% NaCl isotonic physiological solution or with 5% glucose and 2 min. is injected into a vein.

When injected intravenously, Selekasin is dissolved in 200 ml of 0.9% NaCl isotonic solution or 5% glucose solution and infused for 30-60 minutes. injected during

The course of treatment is 7-10 days. In some cases: In tuberculosis – Selekasin is injected for 14 days. Then, after a break of 2-4 weeks, the treatment is repeated. this treatment lasts for 2 months.

In elderly patients and patients with renal insufficiency, the dosage of Selekasin is reduced by 2 times – 7.5 ml per 1 kg 1 time per day.
